SECOND TRAILHEAD UNDERWAY AT NEWFIELD’S KC TRAILS

Some people are sneakerheads; others are metalheads … but here at Newfield, we consider ourselves “trailheads.”

This spring, we officially broke ground on the second trailhead in Newfield as part of KC Trails – our vast network of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding located within the 450-acre, wildlife-rich Kiplinger Conservancy.

Following the debut of our first trailhead last year, this second trailhead will be more centrally located to Rosette Park, providing our community’s earliest homebuyers with convenient access to KC Trails.

Trailhead No. 2 will include additional parking – as well as parking for equine trailers – and feature picnic space and a scenic overlook, inviting residents and the local community to spend more leisurely time outdoors surrounded by native flora and fauna. At any time, visitors of KC Trails can catch deer and other wildlife roaming the protected land.

Better yet, trail-goers can now visit our recently debuted Gopher Tortoise Recipient Site and Preserve – Martin County’s first-ever gopher tortoise preserve, right here at Newfield!

KC Trails has quickly become a retreat for those in the community seeking to connect with nature – so much so, in fact, that we’ve even launched a ‘Newfield Trailblazers’ hiking group! We highly encourage anyone with a love for or interest in the outdoors to join us for one of our upcoming hikes: https://newfieldfl.com/the-trails/

As we continue to expand KC Trails, we’ll be adding more scenic overlooks, benches and boardwalks for peak enjoyment, reminding our community of all the breathtaking natural beauty we’re blessed to have in our own backyard.

We can’t wait to debut our second trailhead toward the end of summer 2025. In the meantime, we’ll see you outside, fellow trailheads!
