First Honey Harvest Takes Place at Newfield Farm
Have you heard the “buzz?” Newfield’s resident beekeeper harvested five gallons of honey on-site at Newfield Farm, marking our community’s first-ever honey harvest!
Our beekeeper harvested five gallons of honey, totaling 640 ounces – an impressive volume that could fill anywhere from 100 to 160 jars. The honey will be available for purchase in the Harvest House.
While this first honey harvest was incredibly special (or, should we say, sweet?) there’s plenty more to come. In fact, through our hands-on “Simply Rooted” farm education series, residents and visitors across Palm City can enjoy an up-close look at our hives with classes led by Newfield Farm’s professional beekeeper.
The Newfield Farm Series invites the community to enjoy a weekly lineup of events designed to foster engagement while promoting eco-friendly practices and providing valuable learning experiences. Every month features a variety of interactive events including farm tours and volunteering opportunities.
