Newfield’s 2025 Milestones and What’s Ahead in 2026

Newfield has come a long way since 2022, when Knight Kiplinger first entrusted Mattamy Homes with the responsibility of bringing the community to life. This past year was especially important as we celebrated several milestones that truly helped the community take shape.

From welcoming our first residents at Rosette Park to opening new spaces that bring people together, here’s a look back at some of the moments that made 2025 such a special year:

Newfield Welcomes Its First Residents at Rosette Park

In April, Newfield welcomed its first residents to Rosette Park, our community’s inaugural residential village.

Designed around the principles of Traditional Neighborhood Design, Rosette Park introduced walkable streets, front porches and easy access to parks, trails and open green spaces. Once residents moved in, Newfield officially became home.

New Spaces That Bring People Together

Throughout the year, we opened new spaces that gave residents and visitors more ways to connect and spend time together.

The Harvest House debuted as Newfield’s community-supported agriculture hub, offering fresh produce and goods from Newfield Farm and local partners, along with purchasing options like the Harvest Box produce subscription and the Harvest Pass for regular shoppers.

Later in the year, The Barn opened at Newfield Farm as a flexible, 4,000-square-foot gathering space. From workshops and cooking demonstrations to tastings, educational programming and seasonal events, The Barn quickly became a place for people to come together. It’s also available for private event rentals. Wedding at The Barn, anyone?

Conservation and Outdoor Access Expanded

Another major milestone was the opening of Martin County’s first-ever gopher tortoise preserve within Kiplinger Conservancy, providing long-term habitat protection for gopher tortoises with approval from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Outdoor access also expanded with the opening of the KC Trails South Trailhead near Rosette Park. With a picnic area, scenic overlook and additional parking, including space for equine trailers, the new trailhead makes it easier to explore more of the conservancy and enjoy the outdoors.

Looking Ahead

Building on this momentum, several highly anticipated additions are on the horizon for 2026.

At the center of it all is Newfield Town Center. Beginning in March, residents can expect to see it start to come to life as plans move forward for shops, dining and gathering places that keep everyday errands and time together close to home.

Newfield Farm is growing too. Plans are in place to add a greenhouse and chicken coops in the coming weeks, building on the role the farm already plays in the community. A seasonal U-pick program is also coming soon, where visitors will have the opportunity to harvest select fruits and vegetables directly from the Newfield Farm.

One of the biggest additions coming this spring is the opening of Citrus House, the community’s new wellness clubhouse. It’s designed as an everyday place to go, whether that’s for a workout, a swim, a pickleball game or just spending time with neighbors. Community fields are also set to open soon, adding more room for youth sports, outdoor play and gatherings.

New ways to get around are coming to Newfield, including an e-bike sharing program as well as Newfield Parkway, a new internal roadway that will help improve circulation throughout the community.

And looking further ahead, planning is moving forward for a future Workplace District, which would bring jobs and services closer to the community as Newfield grows.

As Newfield moves into its second phase of development, new home designs and housing options will become available. Throughout this next chapter, Mattamy Homes remains focused on growing thoughtfully while staying true to the vision that shaped it from the start.

Newfield is entering an exciting new phase, and there is much more to look forward to ahead.
