Newfield Wheels: E-Bike Sharing Program Launching This April
Wheels are about to start turning here at Newfield, and we mean that quite literally!
This April, residents and visitors will have access to a brand-new, e-bike sharing program, expanding Newfield’s commitment to wellness, sustainability and mobility while enhancing convenience and connectivity throughout the community.
Here’s how it works: Residents can download the Newfield community app to locate, unlock, ride and return the e-bikes. Access is free for all Newfield residents.
The app will also feature an updated community map for easy navigation, making it simpler than ever to explore the seamless connections between our expansive KC Trails, the Kiplinger Conservancy, Newfield Farm, Newfield Barn and more.
(Pro tip: Ride along the KC Trails South Trailhead, enjoy a picnic at the scenic overlook, then stop by the gopher tortoise preserve at Kiplinger Conservancy!)
For residents at Rosette Park, the e-bikes offer a fun and leisurely new way to travel directly to and from home and around the community. It’s the perfect way for neighbors and families to enjoy quality time outdoors while getting some exercise.
A charging station will be available at the Newfield Welcome Center, with additional locations planned for the Citrus House and Downtown Newfield.
The bikes are currently being wrapped and the program is set to launch this month. Grab a helmet, grab a friend, and get ready for a breezy ride around Newfield!
To stay up-to-date, download the Newfield app and follow Newfield on Facebook and Instagram.
