Citrus Grove Elementary Students Celebrate Earth day at KC Trails

On Friday, April 24, we welcomed Citrus Grove Elementary’s (CGE) second grade class of 82 students for a fun and educational Earth Day celebration at KC Trails.

The morning was filled with hands-on activity stations designed to connect students with nature and encourage environmental awareness. From a trail scavenger hunt that led students through the scenic paths of KC Trails to interactive Earth Day activities, each station offered a new way to explore and learn about the outdoors.

Students also enjoyed a pancake breakfast and a creative painting station.

This builds on our ongoing partnership with CGE, where we regularly collaborate on interactive initiatives that engage students. Together, these efforts reflect a shared commitment to connecting students with nature beyond the classroom. Earlier this year, we also partnered with CGE to celebrate Florida Arbor Day at KC Trails, further reinforcing our dedication to environmental education.

A special thank you to Citrus Grove Elementary and the second-grade class for an amazing Earth Day celebration!
