A Green Milestone: Newfield Earns Silver-Level Green Certification
We have something new to celebrate at Newfield! Our community recently earned Silver-level Green Building Certification for Land Planning and Development from the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC).
The recognition reflects something that has been part of Newfield from the very beginning: creating a community that grows alongside the natural environment.
To earn the certification, communities are evaluated across areas including conservation, neighborhood connectivity, green infrastructure and community amenities. Newfield earned 148 points, well above the 109 required to achieve Silver-level certification.

For those who know Newfield, that commitment is easy to see.
It’s there in mornings spent along KC Trails, days at Newfield Farm and time exploring the Kiplinger Conservancy. These familiar parts of life at Newfield are all connected to a larger commitment to preserving the land, with nearly 70% of the community’s 3,400 acres planned to remain permanently preserved.
And that connection continues to grow. Guided hikes, farm activities, tree plantings and educational programs offer even more opportunities for residents, visitors and local students to experience and learn about the environment around them.
We’re excited to add this certification to the list of milestones that celebrate what Newfield is all about: celebrating the natural beauty of Martin County and ensuring it remains part of life at Newfield for generations to come.
