Introducing The Barn at Newfield Farm: A Soon-to-Be Community Hub

Community and connection are foundations of what we’re creating at Newfield. Our Traditional Neighborhood Design integrates residential, retail, and amenity spaces with centralized public areas for resident engagement.

Once complete, the 170-acre Newfield Farm will serve as a dynamic community resource for farm-based experiences, educational programs, communal gardens, and a multitude of events. KC Trails, which is now open to the public, is a vast network of trails spanning eight miles for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Its 450, wildlife-rich acres designated as the Kiplinger Conservancy will be the future home to Martin County’s first-ever gopher tortoise preserve. Local residents have already experienced both of these through various events we’ve hosted on site, including farmer’s markets, 5K races and more.

And we’ve been working on something exciting that we can’t wait to share: The Barn at Newfield Farm is slated for completion this fall. The Barn will serve as a community hub for a diverse range of events and gatherings, featuring educational programming, healthy cooking demonstrations, tastings, and more.

The Barn, located at the South end of the Newfield Farm Central Green, will face the courtyard stage and agriculture areas of Newfield Farm. In this setting, The Barn will be the focal point of Newfield Farm’s leisure area, serving as a space for community members to come together as they enjoy planned resident and public events, and soak up the sun with some recreational activities on Central Green.

After time spent browsing Newfield Farm’s vegetables, herbs, flowers and more, Newfield residents and members of the public will have an opportunity to stop by The CSA building also currently under construction, where they will find an array of farm fresh produce and local homemade goods to take a piece of the farm home with them.

With its modern yet rustic charmThe Barn’s design will be an updated take on the Cracker-style barn vernacular, complete with modern farmhouse finishes.

The Barn will be a versatile facility designed to foster Newfield’s commitment to community involvement. In addition to farm-based experiences, educational programs, communal gardens, and market experiences, members of the public can reserve The Barn for events such as social gatherings, live music concerts, and even small wedding receptions.

We can’t wait for you to experience the evolving Newfield Farm with this addition. Stay cool and remember to visit us at The Barn!
