Residents “Fire up” their skills at newfield farm grilling class
April was certainly heating up—at our residents-only grilling class, that is!
Chef Daniel Cendeno of Port St. Lucie’s Buen Provecho Farms led an engaging, hands-on session for Rosette Park residents, right here at Newfield Farm.
The class, which covered grilling fundamentals, from perfecting the sear to balancing flavors with marinades and rubs, gave participants valuable tips and practical experience. Chef Cendeno guided the group through preparing and grilling a mouthwatering, multi-course dinner, featuring a Tomahawk steak and fresh ingredients from Newfield Farm, such as mixed peppers, eggplant, romaine lettuce, and oregano.
As our team served up ice-cold refreshments, participants grilled, seasoned, plated, and savored their dishes while bonding with their neighbors. It was just the first of many fantastic resident social hours to come!
