Some new celebrities have entered the coop!

A few weeks ago, we asked the community to help us name our newest residents at Newfield Farm: the chickens.

We received 60 submissions via Instagram and Facebook comments, where voters could name each chicken. Some names were Newfield inspired (Gloriosa and Rosette) while others were chicken puns (Eggatha, Hennifer and Shelly) or food themed (Hashbrown, Waffles and Nugget).

We asked you all to vote for your favorites…and you didn’t disappoint!

With that, we’re delighted to introduce the newest members of the Newfield flock:

Thank you to everyone who voted! The chickens add another layer to the Newfield experience, bringing everyday farm life closer to residents.

From hands-on classes and educational workshops to interactive farm experiences, there will be more opportunities to engage with the chickens and get a closer look at the farm soon.
